Patrick
Gandy is a composer, pianist, conductor, orchestrator, arranger
and musical director. He has worked with such great artists as Yolanda
Adams, Stevie Wonder, Seal and James Ingram to name a few. He has
composed and arranged music for the 2002 Rose Bowl, The National
Symphony Orchestra, the Emmy Awards, the People's Choice Awards,
television commercials and motion pictures. He has lent his conducting
skills to the 2002 GRAMMY¨ Award winning Dianne Reeves tribute
recording to Sarah Vaughn entitled The Calling, as well
as the National Tour of The Lion King, Aida, Dreamgirls,
and productions of Five Guys Named Moe, Company
and The Baker's Wife.

Patrick has conducted the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and has
appeared in venues as diverse as Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center
and the White House. Patrick is the founder and conductor of the
Writers' Studio Orchestra (WSO), a sixty-five piece multiracial
ensemble dedicated to the creation, preservation and performance
of new American music. His debut solo recording, A Secret Part,
released through Blair & Taylor Music, Inc., features the WSO.
Patrick is currently working on a new film and CD recording of a
live concert performance with full orchestra and guest solo artists
entitled Power Of Music. He is also busy producing
his new urban opera, The Family and putting the finishing
touches on his book The Emancipation of Kinky Haired Girls.
